My Indo Airlines Changed The Cargo Schedule Departing From Semarang As The Last Flight

Mari berbagi

JoSS, SEMARANG – The airline serving air cargo – My Indo Airlines – scheduled from A. Yani airport in Semarang to Soekarno-Hatta airport in Jakarta and continues to Changi airport in Singapore has changed their departure schedule from Semarang at 12.30 WIB to 22.30 WIB to maximize the load factor.

This policy was implemented to adjust Central Java’s exporters’ working pattern who often send their goods after regular working hours at around 16.00 WIB. This alteration the cargo capacity can be maximized up to 15,5 tonnes. “By doing so, we expect that the cargo load factor can be maximized.” Said My Indo Airlines’ Vice President Commercial, Muhammad Ridwan.

With this change, the cargo arrival from Singapore and Jakarta previously scheduled at 11.30 WIB was shift to 21.00 WIB. As a consequence, logistics companies must also adjust their pick up schedule to fit with the new schedule.

My Indo Airlines, has been providing air freight service at A. Yani airport in Semarang since 25 July 2017 using Boeing 737-300 Freighter. The decision to open the route from and to Semarang was due to the fact that there are four fast growing industrial areas in the city.

In Semarang, there are Wijaya Kusuma Indutrial Area, Gatot Subroto Industrial Area, Terboyo Industrial Area and Bukit Semarang Baru (BSB) Industrial Area. In addition, Kendal Industrial Park was also developed in Kendal regency by co-operating with Singapore providing the extra potential cargo to be delivered. Outside Semarang and Kendal, the development of Semarang Regency, Demak and Salatiga is also appealing.

“We have conducted a survey before deciding to enter Semarang. Thus, we are optimistic that the route will develop better and suited to be formally scheduled.”, said Muhammad Ridwan.

To provide more effective service, My Indo Airlines has been working together with Asperindo (Association of Postal and Logistic Express Delivery Service) and ALFI (Association of Logistics and Forwarder in Indonesia).

The Chief of Asperindo, Tony Winarno, is clearly overjoy with the new schedule applied. “The cut off up to 20.00 WIB makes it interesting for fellow businessmen since it is suited to their needs.”

Also, he hopes that exporters from other regions can also take advantage of the new flight schedule. Exporters from Kudus, Pati, Magelang, Wonosobo, Boyolali, Solo, Sukoharjo, Pekalongan and Batang can start to consider the service provided. Moreover, tony highlights their effort to encourage exporters to use this service. (*/nto/awo)
